We’re now live!

As Phase 1 of our new website is now very nearly finished we’ve decided it’s time to unleash it to the world! There are still a couple of bits to be added but those should be done soon.

This all means that when you search for Bolton Villas Google should hopefully start returning this website instead of our Facebook page (although that’s not disappearing). We will then start the mammoth task of advertising our new website on Facebook and elsewhere.

We are intending on adding more content to the website over the coming months, so do come back regularly. Also if you would like to see something specific that’s not currently live then do let us know.

Banner for Pentecost

Going up on our external notice board at some point this week is a new banner for Pentecost. This is the time when we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit as described in Acts 2, when we pray for the Holy Spirit to come again.

Do come and join us on our various Pentecost events and services this weekend as we pray for a renewing of the Holy Spirit and the peace that only God can give us.

Tough Talk weekend

There’s lots of stuff going on over the Pentecost weekend (7-9 June). On Friday 7 June at 7pm we have our main Tough Talk event with speaker Ian McDowall. Then on Saturday 8 June we have two events: a picnic from 11am to 3pm in Roberts Park, Saltaire and an Encounter Night with Pastor Jonathan Dyke at 7pm. Then on Sunday 9th June Pastor Jonathan Dyke will be leading our family service at 10.30am.

To finish the weekend off Wrose Christians Together will be running Safari Sunday, a walk through Wrose visiting each of the churches along the way. We’ll also be joined by John Froud who will be singing some songs for the journey. Do come and join us for should be a great weekend of events.

A Rare Occasion

It’s not often our Lead Pastor, Rev Ashley Evans, and our Youth Pastor, Rev Karl Hanton are seen in their formal uniform! So when they were both seen in their ‘dog collars’ over Christmas we couldn’t resist capturing the occasion.

Our New Website

Welcome to our new website! This site is still a work in progress, however we will continue to add bits to it over the next few weeks. Do come back to see what progress we’ve made.
